"A Soldier's Life" Military Project

International recording artist and singer/songwriter Tommy Gilham has written a new song called “ A Soldier's Life”, and is donating the proceeds generated from the song to the Military Family Resource Center, to help send veterans and their families, facing difficulties after deployment, to Partners In Process Equine Learning Centre.

Tommy has purposely left out a verse in hopes that Canadian Soldiers and their family members will partake in a contest to help complete a song that Canadian Soldiers can call their own.

We are currently running the contest and receiving some great submissions daily.

The contest will close on July 31, 2012 and will be recorded shortly after, with the winning verse being part of the new song.

As soon as possible after the song is recorded we will be releasing it to radio and  it will also be available on itunes with the funds generated being forwarded to the MFRC.

We are working with the MFRC and some of the men and women of the Canadian Armed forces at pursuing different means of promoting the song , some of which include, articles in the MFRC magazine, The Maple Leaf military newspaper and performing the song live to some of our Canadian military personnel at LFCA TC Meaford and Base Borden.

The first show is scheduled for August 16th at LFCA TC Meaford and then at Base Borden on August 30th.

Tommy Gilham and The Chill Billys are both honored and proud to be able to work with the men and women of our Canadian Forces and be part of this amazing project.
